He is a popular conference speaker and award-winning author on risk. David is recognised internationally as a leading thinker and practitioner in the risk field, and has made several innovative contributions to improving risk management. He is well known for promoting the inclusion of proactive opportunity management within the risk process, and has developed a practical application of emotional literacy to risk psychology (see www.risk-attitude.com). He has also recently developed a scaleable risk methodology (see www.ATOM-risk.com). David is active in the Project Management Institute (PMI). He was a founder member of its Risk SIG, and is currently its Director of Technical Development.
